Remember the Problem-Song
by
Archana Sridhar
Stare at the sand long enough
and you’ll see glimmers of hope
Ground down eons ago
by droplets of water carefully collected
Balanced in the bowls
of oceans held aloft by our foremothers
Their forbearance honoured
by spilling the droplets of their lives
And legacies stored among stars of glass
scattered across the galaxy
Like a landscape of sand-planets
each grain and filament illustrating
The scales of their hopes reinvented
and our time revivified in song
